St. John’s Centre is a retirement home for senior citizens ages 65 years and older. You must be capable of independent living with the help of support services. You must be a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or have Refugee status. You cannot owe money to a social housing provider. However, you can be in the process of repaying a social housing provider. You cannot be under a deportation, departure or exclusion order.
Are there social activities at St. John's Center?
St. John’s Centre celebrates all major holidays. The decorations are plentiful and put everyone in the spirit of the holiday. There is also a tenant BBQ and corn roast on the back patio during the summer months. A furnished common room for group or individual activities includes a TV, keyboard, karaoke machine and a selection of puzzles and various board games. A group of volunteers run bingo on a weekly basis. St. John’s Church, (via the LINK) also has activities year-round. We welcome any suggestions you may have.
